Dr. Castanaro completed his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton with a bachelors in Biology and Philosophy. Wanting to further his education he then received a Master in Biology from the University at Buffalo in 2003 and then went on to graduate Cum Laude from University of Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2007 with his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree, giving him over a decades worth of experience in his field.
Wanting to further his training he then accepted a residency position at Montefiore Medical Center where he was elected chief resident in 2008. He became skilled in implant and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Castanaro has participated in mission trips to Tampico Mexico and has lectured in Kuwait and Qatar educating military support personal on different techniques for acute dental trauma. Dr. Castanaro joined his father in the family private practice Castanaro Dental.
Dr Castanaro tries to also implement the latest technologies in the field. His office utilizes the CEREC system allowing all porcelain crowns to be fabricated in the office in one appointment eliminating the need for a temporary crown and a second visit. In addition the office purchased the Solea laser The Solea laser replaces the use of the drill and the need for anesthesia for almost all cavities allowing for pain free, anxiety free dentistry. These technologies along with a convenient set of hours including Sunday appointments has made the office as convenient and up to date as possible
