Get to know Otolaryngologist and Sleep Medicine Specialist Dr. John M. Dobrowski, who serves patients in Boston, Massachusetts. 

Dr. Dobrowski has been actively involved in the sleep medicine and otolaryngology fields for more than 35 years of experience. He specializes in sleep medicine, sleep disorders, snoring, and sleep apnea. 

At present, he serves as Associate Director of Sleep Medicine and Surgery Division and Director of Adult Sleep Medicine and Surgery at Massachusetts Eye and Ear. Thereafter, he became board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology, a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships, and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924. Additionally, he became board-certified in sleep medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In order to remain up to date in his field, the doctor is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Moreover, he is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. 

Treating mainly adult sleep patients, Dr. Dobrowski’ clinical interests include sleep medicine, comprehensive otolaryngology, and diseases of the sinuses and inner ear. He has authored several textbook chapters on topics such as autism, continuous positive airway pressure therapy for sleep apnea, and hypoglossal nerve stimulator implantations in children with down syndrome and sleep apnea.
