Board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. Fox specializes in interventional cardiology. He is the Site-Chairman of Cardiovascular Services for Mount Sinai Beth Israel and the Director of the Interventional Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Mount Sinai Beth Israel. Additionally, he is an Associate Professor of Medicine at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

Dr. Fox earned his medical degree from New York Medical College in 1989. This was followed by residency training in internal medicine as well as fellowship trainings in cardiology and interventional cardiology, all of which were completed at Mount Sinai Beth Israel.

Interventional cardiology is a branch of cardiology that deals specifically with the catheter based treatment of structural heart diseases. The main advantages of using this approach include the avoidance of scars and pain, and long post-operative recovery. As an interventional cardiologist, Dr. Fox maintains clinical focus on conditions such as heart attack/acute coronary syndrome, angiography, cardiac catheterization, cardiovascular disease, and transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR).

Dr. Fox is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC) and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (FSCAI). Fellowship is one of the most distinguished designations a College offers its members. It is the ultimate recognition of professional achievement.

Dr. Fox has received several awards throughout his line of work, including the Paul Schweitzer award (2000, 2008), New York Best Doctor award (2009-2014), New York Super Doctor award (2008-2014), and Man of the Year award (2015).
