Hopkins who shared a goal to improve the quality of imaging services delivered to patients in Gainesville, Hall County. Having previously served as an Associate Professor at MUSC, Dr. Horn has valued the opportunity to educate residents and medical students about the field of radiology in his career.

His hospital affiliations include: Northeast Georgia Medical Center Gainesville, Northeast Georgia Medical Center Braselton, NGMC Barrow as well as NGMC Lumpkin.

A native of Arkansas, Dr. Horn achieved his undergraduate studies at Baylor University in 1989 and received his medical degree from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences College of Medicine in 1993. He then completed his residency in diagnostic radiology and his fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston.

Holding years of experience, he is dual board-certified in diagnostic radiology as well as vascular and interventional radiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). A member of the American College of Radiology and the Society of Interventional Radiology, Dr. Horn has served in various roles of medical staff leadership. Achieving Eagle Scout and serving in the Army National Guard are some of his proudest accomplishments.

Interventional radiology (also known as IR) is the minimally invasive, image-guided treatment of medical conditions that once required open surgery.  By harnessing the power of advanced imaging (ultrasound, X-rays, CAT scans, MRI scans and other innovative methods), interventional radiologists can see inside your body and treat complex conditions—like bleeding and cancer—less invasively and with unprecedented precision.   Interventional radiologists can reduce the length of hospital stays, minimize potential complications and save lives.

Outside of practicing medicine, Dr. Horn enjoys the outdoors, spending time with his family, along with boating and travelling with friends.  He is proud to call the town of Jefferson, Georgia his home.
