Most recently, Dr. Amnawah earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing Research and Education from the College of Nursing and Public Health at Adelphi University in 2024. His dissertation explored the intersection of school nursing and mental health outcomes, focusing on work-life experiences, self-efficacy, and attitudes among healthcare professionals.

Before his current roles, Dr. Amnawah gained invaluable experience as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services and South Oaks Hospital. In these positions, he conducted comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, managed medications, and developed treatment plans in strengths-based, recovery-oriented environments. His proficiency in motivational interviewing, crisis intervention, and holistic care approaches has equipped him to address the complex needs of his patients effectively.
