Dr. Cole is a dual board-certified physiatrist who specializes in the diagnosis and non-surgical treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and has a particular interest in electrodiagnostic and electrotherapeutic medicine. He is affiliated with Westmed Medical Group, seeing patients at the offices in White Plains and New Rochelle, New York.

Having been practicing pain medicine for over 20 years, Dr. Cole has extensive training in pain management techniques, including epidural injections, facet injections and sacroiliac injections, and frequency ablation. His practice has a committed team that puts the needs of patients first, from setting the appointment, through delivering care and follow-up communication. 

An effective listener, he treats every patient with the utmost respect and integrity. His patient care approach addresses not only pain treatment, but also long-term prevention of pain for total well-being.

Licensed to practice medicine in New York, Dr. Cole is affiliated with New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Columbia and Cornell, New York Community Hospital, Westchester Medical Center, and White Plains Hospital.

Alongside his clinical role, he serves as a Clinical Instructor in Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1994. He then went on to perform his residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1995, and his fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 1998.

In 1999, Dr. Cole attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR). Founded in 1947, the ABPMR is the medical certifying board for the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation. It is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).

Furthermore, he attained board certification in electrodiagnostic medicine through the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM promotes high quality patient care by overseeing a certification process that requires physicians to obtain specific academic training and clinical experience, then demonstrate competency in the EDX evaluation of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems by passing a comprehensive examination.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, also known as physiatry and physiatrics, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons.
