Having been practicing pain medicine for over 20 years, Dr. Cole has extensive training in pain management techniques, including epidural injections, facet injections and sacroiliac injections, and frequency ablation. The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 1994. He then went on to perform his residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital in 1995, and his fellowship at the Hospital for Special Surgery in 1998.
In 1999, Dr. Cole attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (ABPMR). Founded in 1947, the ABPMR is the medical certifying board for the specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation. It is one of 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS).
Furthermore, he attained board certification in electrodiagnostic medicine through the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM). The ABEM promotes high quality patient care by overseeing a certification process that requires physicians to obtain specific academic training and clinical experience, then demonstrate competency in the EDX evaluation of neuromuscular and musculoskeletal systems by passing a comprehensive examination.
