Well-versed in the field of pediatric cardiology, Dr. Ptasinski is currently completing his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
Holding various esteemed positions and titles within the medical and educational realms, Dr. Ptasinski served as a Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics at Northeast Ohio Medical University from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, he represented interns on the Pediatric Residency Education Committee in the year spanning 2020 to 2021. Graduating from Regis Jesuit High School, Dr. Ptasinski went on to earn his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from Lafayette College in 2015. He then attended medical school at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with the class of 2020.
Furthering his training, Dr. Ptasinski performed his residency in pediatrics at Children’s Hospital Medical Center of Akron/NEOMED from 2020-2013. Subsequently, he joined a fellowship program at Jackson Memorial Hospital, which he is expected to complete in 2026.
Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents, while cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart as well as some parts of the circulatory system. Pediatric cardiologists specialize in diagnosing and treating heart problems in children. In those children who might need heart surgery, pediatric cardiologists work closely with pediatric heart surgeons to determine the best treatments and interventions.
Dedicated to philanthropic ventures, Dr. Ptasinski has been actively involved in various charitable initiatives. He notably contributed to projects such as the Akron Children’s Hospital’s Project Outrun and the Reach out and Read Program.
His involvement extended to supporting the One of a Kind Dog & Cat Shelter in 2021-2022 and participating in the Colorado Springs 5th Grade Trauma Program during 2018-2019. Additionally, he volunteered at the Colorado Springs Youth Day with the Denver Nuggets in 2018, was part of the WhizKids Tutoring – Youth Mentor Collaborative from 2017 to 2018, and served as a Spartan Race Medic in 2017.
