Dr. Yu is a highly accomplished and respected medical professional, currently serving as the Vice Chairman of Academic Affairs and Professor of Radiology and Orthopedic Surgery at The Ohio State Wexner Medical Center. The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.
Serving on numerous national and international committees in multiple organizations, Dr. Yu is an active member of the American College of Radiology, the International Skeletal Society, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the Radiological Society of North America. He has also held leadership positions in various professional organizations, including serving as president of the American Society of Emergency Radiology from 2016 to 2017.
Furthermore, he received honorary fellow status from both the American Society of Emergency Radiology and the American College of Radiology, and was awarded the ASER Gold Medal in 2019 for his outstanding contributions to the field.
In addition to his teaching and research achievements, Dr. Yu has played a prominent role in the field as an editor and editor-in-chief. He is currently the editor-in-chief of the Open Journal of Radiology, and has served on numerous editorial boards. He is also the sole author of the best-selling textbook Musculoskeletal Imaging: Case Review, now in its 3rd edition, and co-editor of two other highly regarded publications in the field.
