The broad aim of the ABNS is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery, thereby serving the cause of public health.

Dr. Cheatle is a member of the North American Spine Society, the American Neuromodulation Society, the International Brain Injury Association, the South Carolina Medical Association, the Society of Neuro-Oncology, the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, and the American Academy of Neurological Surgeons.

Dr. Cheatle enjoys outdoor activities, hiking, running, and swimming. He also enjoys spending time with his wife, Jenny, and their young children, Jack and Scarlett.
