The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

On a professional level, Dr. Bingham is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Outpatient Total Joint Replacement Education Planning Committee, Department of Orthopedic Surgery at Mayo Clinic.
