She then went on to obtain her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree from the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine/Temple Medical School in Philadelphia, PA – graduating with top honors. Her impressive academic career earned her a two-year surgical residency in Chicago, where she became the first woman ever to become a chief resident at a surgical program.
As Dr. Rubin began her practice in Houston, TX, she continued to excel. In 1988, she became board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons and maintains that certification regularly. She is also a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS). The ACFAS is a professional organization associated with an interest, training, board certification, and education in the specialty of foot and ankle surgery.
Dr. Rubin holds a reputable status with both state and national Podiatric Medical Associations.
