Certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners, Judy is an active member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, the Texas Nurse Practitioners, and San Antonio Nurses in Advanced Practice. She attributes her success to always wanting to be a good example to her family, especially her children.
A Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) provides continuing and comprehensive healthcare for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases, and body systems. FNPs maintain patient records, perform physical exams, order or perform diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, develop treatment plans, as well as treat acute and chronic illnesses, conditions, and injuries that fall under primary care.
Away from work, Judy enjoys traveling with her family, scuba diving, skiing, hiking, fishing, and sampling different cuisines. Quality time with her children is especially important to her; they are the “zest” of her life. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
