Dr. Peguero is an accomplished oncologist currently serving as the Director of Research at Oncology Consultants. He also maintains affiliations with several hospitals in the Houston area, including Kindred Hospital the Heights, St. Luke’s Vintage, Kindred Hospital Houston Medical Center, Methodist West Houston Hospital, Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital, and Memorial Hermann Sugar Land Hospital, among others.
Throughout his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, and completed a residency in internal medicine at The University of Texas Dell Medical School. He also served as Chief Fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where he completed his fellowship in medical oncology.
Passionate about his profession, the doctor is board-certified in medical oncology and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
