Academically, Dr. Mirza holds a Bachelor’s degree from Denison University and a graduate certificate in Biology from the Drexel University College of Medicine. He graduated from New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2009 and went on to finish his residency in orthopedic surgery at North Shore Long Island Jewish in 2014 and his fellowship in hand surgery at Stony Brook University Hospital in 2015.
With a focus on surgical techniques, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS). The AOBOS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the medical and surgical treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system.
