Dr. Tareen, a board-certified internist and a licensed acupuncturist, is the owner and operator of Advanced Physician Acupuncture in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania. He brings more than 25 years experience in Western medicine together with Eastern treatment procedures to help patients with chronically painful conditions and chronic refractory ailments — those who resist standard treatment.

He also studied French auricular acupuncture with Dr. Rafael Nogier, and German micro-acupuncture at the Ludwig-Maximilians University in Munich. Finally, he finished his training with a residency in internal medicine at the University of California, Irvine Medical Center in 1993.
With nearly four decades of experience in his field, Dr. Tareen is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
