Furthering her education she graduated with her Medical Degree from Temple University School of Medicine in 1988, giving her over three decades of experience in her field. She then completed a residency in internal medicine at the Medical College of Pennsylvania. Additionally she held dual faculty positions at the University of Pennsylvania in its School of Medicine and School of Nursing.
