She completed her internship in internal medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, her residency in dermatology at MetroHealth Medical Center, and her fellowship in dermatopathology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.

In addition to having authored numerous papers and articles on the recognition and treatment of skin disorders, Dr. Turgeon is board-certified in both dermatology and dermatopathology by the American Board of Dermatology, which is one of the 24 medical specialty boards that make up the American Board of Medical Specialties.
