Born and raised in Frankfort, Dr. May attended Lincoln-Way East High School. Upon completion of her Bachelor of Science (University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana) and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University) degrees, she completed a comprehensive 3-year surgical residency at Millcreek Community Hospital in Erie, Pennsylvania. During her residency, she was trained to perform both forefoot and rearfoot reconstructive surgery. This encompasses surgical correction of bunions and hammertoes all the way to ankle joint fusions and Achilles tendon repairs.
Experienced in the surgical treatment of the foot and ankle, she is board-certified through the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery (ABFAS). The ABFAS strives to protect and improve the health and welfare of the public by advancing the art and science of foot and ankle surgery.
A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), Dr. May is a member of the Illinois Podiatric Medical Association, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and the American Academy of Podiatric Practice Management.
