Kimberly F. Owens, MD, a board-certified family physician, is the proud owner of The Oaks Family Healthcare, LLC, which is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care services to individuals and families in Auburn, Alabama, and the surrounding communities. With a wide range of services including routine wellness & well-women’s care, chronic care management, sick visits, and minor skin procedures, Dr. Owens aims to ensure that her patients receive the personalized care they deserve.

In addition to her work at The Oaks Family Healthcare, Dr. Owens serves as the Medical Director at the Sav-a-Life pregnancy resource center in Lanett, Alabama, where she is dedicated to supporting women and families facing pregnancy-related challenges. Furthermore, as a Clinical Preceptor for the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Auburn, she is passionate about educating the next generation of healthcare providers.
Dr. Owens, a native of north Alabama, is a graduate of Auburn University, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology with a focus in Pre-Medical studies, graduating Magna Cum Laude. A former 4-year letterman for the Auburn University Softball Team, she later earned her Medical Degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham Heersink School of Medicine. Dr. Owens completed her residency in family medicine at UAB St. Vincent’s East and subsequently joined George H. Lanier Health Services, which transitioned to EAMC-Lanier in 2014.
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine, Dr. Owens actively participates in the Alabama Academy of Family Physicians, the American Academy of Family Physicians, and the Christian Medical & Dental Associations.
Outside of her professional commitments, Dr. Owens enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Her interests include outdoor activities, scuba diving, hunting, fishing, and attending Auburn softball and baseball games. She is also involved in the Kids Ministry at First Baptist Church of Opelika.
