He completed post-graduate studies in Chemistry and Biochemistry at Michigan State University. From there, he went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at the Michigan Osteopathic Medical Center in 1986, followed by his residency in internal medicine at Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital in 1988. Wanting to further his training, he completed his fellowship in nephrology at the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor in 1990.
The doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified DOs who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults. What’s more, he is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Osteopathic Association, the American Society of Nephrology, the American College of Physicians, the American Society of Transplant Physicians, and the Michigan Osteopathic Medical Association.
