Rogsbert F. Phillips, MD is a highly respected and experienced physician, having been in practice for over three decades. Her career in medicine began in 1977 when she graduated with her Medical Degree from the Columbia University School of Physicians and Surgeons. After medical school, Dr. Phillips became the second woman and first African-American woman to successfully complete Emory University’s surgical program.
Dr. Phillips is board certified in General Surgery and specializes in Breast Surgical Oncology. She has dedicated her career to helping women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer.
Dr. Phillips was the founder of Sisters By Choice (SBC) in 1989, a support group which grew into a non-profit organization, educating, counseling, and providing support to those affected by breast cancer.
Dr. Phillips has taken note of the issues people in rural Georgia face trying to gain access to quality breast care. In response, Dr. Phillips has developed a mobile breast clinic which will travel through rural Georgia reaching women who would not otherwise have access to this quality of healthcare. Her meticulous approach to patient care, coupled with her dedication to her work, and contributions in her field makes Rogsbert F. Phillips, MD a very worthy winner of a 2018 Top Doctor Award.
