His career in medicine began in 2003 when he graduated with his Medical Degree from the Universidade de Sao Paulo in Brazil . After medical school, Dr. Skarbnik completed his internship with the Hospital das Clinicas, University of Sao Paulo, followed by his internal medicine internship and residency with the Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons/St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Medical Center in New York. Driven to further his expertise and knowledge, he undertook his Adult Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation fellowship at the City of Hope National Medical Center and a Medical Oncology and Hematology fellowship from the Fox Chase Cancer Center and Temple University Hospital, where he also served as Chief Fellow.
Dr. Skarbnik is certified in Hematology, Internal Medicine, and Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, and has dedicated his life to delivering compassionate care. He is determined to enhance his patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. With a passion for his work, Dr. Skarbnik is noted for his expertise in Hematologic Oncology.
