Dr. Kinga Michelle Huzella is a highly respected and experienced physician, having been in practice for over two decades. Her career in medicine began in 1991 when she graduated with her Medical Degree from the School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, SUNY in Buffalo, NY, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She simultaneously pursued research interests in glaucoma with the chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology. After medical school, Dr. Huzella completed her internship with the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center in Charlottesville, VA, followed by her residency in ophthalmology at The Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center in New York, where she was named Chief Resident during her final year.

Dr. Huzella has dedicated her life to delivering compassionate care. She is determined to enhance her patients’ quality of life, providing high quality, individualized care in order to ensure the most optimal results. With a passion for her work, Dr. Huzella has been awarded the Frieda W. Trust Scholarship for Proficiency and Dedication to the field of Ophthalmology; the American Medical Women’s Association Janet Glascow Citation for Scholastic Achievement; and the award for Outstanding First Year Resident in Ophthalmology.  She has also been an active participant in The American Academy of Ophthalmology’s EyeCare America, an award-winning organization that provides eye exams and eye care to eligible individuals through volunteer ophthalmologists.

Dr. Huzella keeps current with the newest developments, guidelines, and procedures in her field by remaining a distinguished member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the Hungarian Medical Association of America, and Women in Ophthalmology. Her meticulous approach to patient care, coupled with her dedication to her work, and contributions in her field makes Dr. Kinga Michelle Huzella, MD a very worthy winner of a 2018 Top Doctor Award.
