Her long and successful career in medicine began in 1979 when she graduated from the University of the East College of Medicine in Quezon City, Philippines. After moving to the United States, she completed a residency at the Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, and then completed a fellowship at the Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow, New York.
Dr. Cruz has a wealth of experience as a pediatrician and as an emergency medicine physician, and she treats conditions including asthma and bronchitis, dermatitis, sprains, fractures and dislocations, allergies and anxiety. She is also known across Tennessee and beyond as an expert in the treatment of opioid addiction and other conditions related to substance abuse.
