It was originally opened as Cleveland Clinic, as a satellite location. In May 2006, the facility was given the name Physicians Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Lavasani holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Macalester College and a Master of Science in Applied Physiology from Chicago Medical School. She earned her medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine & Health Sciences in 2006. She then went on to complete her residency in otolaryngology at Thomas Jefferson University.
Dr. Lavasani is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery (ABOHNS). The ABOHNS is a non-profit corporation that has set the mission of ensuring professional standards with certificates and memberships, and has offered training in the fields of head neck surgery to professionals since 1924.
Dr. Lavasani is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. She is also a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, the American Medical Women’s Association, the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and the Collier County Medical Society.
