Dr. Neuman is a highly-respected Clinical Social Worker with over forty-three years of experience and continues to provide above-and-beyond services in couples counseling and psychotherapy at Union Square Couples Counseling and Psychotherapy in New York, New York.  

Dr. Neuman graduated from CUNY Hunter College in 1975, obtaining her Master’s in Social Work, where she trained in group therapy and couples’ work under the supervision of the Relational Life Institute and renowned writer and couples therapist Terrence Real. She then went on to complete her post-graduate work at the Psychoanalytic Institute for Clinical Social Workers. She is also thoroughly trained in mindfulness and meditation with John Welwood, a renowned clinical psychologist known for integrating spirituality into his practices.

With a love for her profession, Dr. Neuman is a remarkable and devoted Clinical Social Worker who is devoted to helping her patients cope with depression, anxiety, and various relationship issues. Her work also includes counseling related to addiction, life cycle changes, discontent, and personal development, and she incorporates holistic well-being into her patients’ daily lives.

Apart from her career, Dr. Neauman is an active member of the New York State Society for Clinical Social Work and the American Group Psychotherapy Association. She is a faculty member of the National Institute for the Psychotherapies, and currently oversees and teaches at many training programs and institutes in Manhattan.
