Get to know Licensed Practical Nurse Wanda Merkson Brumfield
Wanda graduated with her Nursing Degree from Chester Upland School District in 1997, giving her over two decades of experience in her field. Wanting to further her education she then completed her Bachelor’s of Science in Healthcare and Leadership from Philadelphia University in 2013. She holds an expertise in geriatric nursing, and keeps up to date in her field by reading the American Journal of Nursing.
Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with specialized educational and clinical training in family practice. Nurse practitioners have a higher degree of training, in both the classroom and clinical setting, than Registered Nurses do, although becoming an RN is a prerequisite.
Wanda attributes her professional success to her nurturing spirit. She loves what she does and enjoys helping people. Seeing the fruit of her labor; seeing her patients get better and being there for the patients family if the patient passes away. She also holds a passion in ensuring that the people around her do their political duty and vote during elections.
