Lily L. Wang, MD, a Diagnostic Radiologist with UC Health

Get to know Diagnostic Radiologist Dr. Lily L. Wang, who serves patients throughout the State of Ohio.

Dr. Wang, a highly trained diagnostic radiologist, can perform and interpret the results of diagnostic imaging tests, like MRIs or X-rays. Her specialties include imaging, neuroradiology, Alzheimer’s disease, brain injury, brain tumors, dementia, epilepsy, facial neuralgia, headache, multiple sclerosis, X-ray, MRI, cancer, oncology, and radiology. 

In collaboration with UC Health, she is affiliated with Brain Tumor Center, University of Cincinnati Gardner Neuroscience Institute, University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, and Epilepsy Center.

Alongside her clinical role, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Radiology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. 

At the start of her academic career, Dr. Wang graduated with her medical degree from the  Faculty of Medicine at the University of New South Wales in Kensington, Australia. She performed her residency at Princess of Wales Hospital, after which she relocated to the United States. There, she served her fellowships in pediatric radiology and pediatric neuroradiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, and an additional fellowship in neuroradiology at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

For her expertise, she has won resident and medical student teaching awards at University of Cincinnati, as well as many presentation awards at national and international meetings, including Magna Cum Laude at the Radiological Society of North America & Best Presentation awards at the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists and the Australian and New Zealand Society for Pediatric Radiology.

Among her professional affiliations, Dr. Wang is a member of the American Society of Head & Neck Radiology, the American Society of Pediatric Neuroradiology, the American Society of Neuroradiology, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, the Society for Pediatric Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society, and the European Society of Radiology. 

Furthermore, she is dual board-certified in diagnostic radiology and neuroradiology by the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

Diagnostic radiology refers to the field of medicine that uses non-invasive imaging scans to diagnose a patient. A diagnostic radiologist is a physician who uses imaging methodologies to diagnose and manage patients and provide therapeutic options. 

Recognized as an authority in her field, Dr. Wang is an invited speaker at the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Association of University of Radiologists, the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists, and the Radiological Society of North America annual meetings. She is also the Associate Editor/Social Media for the Editorial Board of the Radiological Society of North America.
