Dr. Hurtado is a board-certified Physiatrist practicing at St. Catherine’s West Rehabilitation Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. She embraced her current role as Medical Director in 2015 upon the completion of her Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Hospital Health System. Dr. Hurtado stood out from her class and received commendations as a surgical intern in 2012. Currently, Dr. Hurtado excels at enhancing and restoring functional ability and quality of life to people with physical impairments or disabilities. Dr. Hurtado embraces patients from all socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds.
Dr. Hurtado is a graduate of The Nueva Granada Military University in Bogotá, Colombia. Following her relocation to the United States, she completed her internship (2011 – 2012) and residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (2012 – 2015) at the University of Miami/ Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami. She received her Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates in 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Hurtado attained board certification in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR). The ABPMR was established in 1947 as the certifying body for the field of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation under the American Board of Medical Specialties.
Outside her professional commitments, Dr. Hurtado is married and enjoys traveling and exercise. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish.
