Linda S. Aubin, CRT, Respiratory Therapist with Trinity Health and Rehabilitation Center
Get to know Respiratory Therapist Linda S. Aubin, who serves the population of Pascoag, Rhode Island.
Linda’s greatest passion for the last five decades has been to bring healing to these people, to help them to breathe easier and be as comfortable as possible. She began her journey at the early age of 20 at Rhode Island Hospital where she got her first job as a Ventilation Therapist. If you ask her today, she will tell you that at the time she actually had no idea what she would be doing. However, after just a short time at the job, Linda had found her life-long career. After a 2-year program at Rhode Island Hospital, she completed her studies online with the University of CA to become a licensed Respiratory Therapist. Recognizing that no single approach is the right one for every individual, her training and experience have provided her with a large range of modalities and approaches for each person admitted.
To stay up to date in her field Linda remains a professional member of the National Board for Respiratory Care. She attributes her professional success to her love of the job, her co-workers, and most importantly, her patients. At 70 years young, she is still going strong and doesn’t see full retirement at any time in the near future. When not working she enjoys spending time at casinos and traveling.
A respiratory therapist is a specialized healthcare practitioner trained in pulmonary medicine in order to work therapeutically with people suffering from pulmonary disease. Respiratory therapists are specialists and educators in many areas including cardiology, pulmonology, and sleep therapy. Respiratory therapists are clinicians trained in advanced airway management; establishing and maintaining the airway during management of trauma, and intensive care. Respiratory therapists initiate and manage life support for people in intensive care units and emergency departments, stabilizing, treating and managing pre-hospital and hospital-to-hospital patient transport by air or ground ambulance.
