Dr. Faia attended George Washington University where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree. Furthering her education, she attended Keck School of Medicine at the University of Southern California. After medical school, Dr. Faia served an internship at UCLA – VA Greater Los Angeles Internal Medicine Program and a residency at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. She completed fellowship training in Uveitis and Medical Retina at the National Eye Institutes of Health. She also completed a fellowship in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at Associated Retinal Consultants. As a leader in her field, Dr. Faia is board certified in ophthalmology with an expertise in surgical and medical management of uveitis. She also holds numerous memberships with the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Pan-American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Retina Specialists, American Uveitis Society, American Medical Association, Michigan Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons, and Association in Research of Vision and Ophthalmology.
