Specializing in diabetes education, labor, and delivery, Lisa is the Diabetes Program Director within the Department of Diabetes and Diabetes Prevention at the Rocky Boy Health Center in Box Elder, Montana. 

The Rocky Boy Health Center is committed to providing, maintaining, and improving the highest quality health care delivery systems in the spirit of Self-Governance and Self-Determination. The primary goal of the Department of Diabetes / Diabetes Prevention is to decrease the prevalence of diabetes in the Rocky Boy Community through prevention efforts targeted at education, diet, and exercise.

Back in 2011, Lisa earned her Doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Prior to her current endeavors, she served as the Director of LDRP at Northern Montana Hospital and as the Director of Nursing at Montana State University-Northern.

In order to stay up to date in her field, she maintains a professional membership with the American Diabetes Association, which is a United States-based nonprofit that seeks to educate the public about diabetes and to help those affected by it by funding research to manage, cure, and prevent diabetes.
