Lymphoma oncologist, Dr. Nastoupil, serves as Director of the Lymphoma Outcomes Database, Associate Professor, and Section Chief of New Drug Development within the Department of Lymphoma/Myeloma, Division of Cancer Medicine at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas.

She holds expertise and has demonstrated proficiency in regards to patient care, safety, and coordination of numerous research and administrative staff.
“The focus of my research has been on examining disparities in lymphoma survival to identify opportunities to design and implement rational clinical trials aimed at improving outcomes for high-risk patients. I have completed analyses using large databases in follicular lymphoma and diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL) identifying characteristics that predict inferior outcomes.” as stated by the doctor.
A 2007 graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, Dr. Nastoupil went on to complete her residency at Washington University, Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri in 2010. Three years later, in 2013, she completed her fellowship in hematology and medical oncology at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, Georgia, serving as chief fellow her last year.
Subsequently, she became board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Among her institutional committee activities, Dr. Nastoupil serves as the Coordinator of Malignant Hematology Grand Rounds (since 2017), a member of the CRC Committee (since 2017), and a member of Hematology/Medical Oncology (since 2015).
In addition, she is a member of the ASCO Volunteer Effort for the creation of Oncology EHR Common Data Elements, SWOG, the ASCO Multi-Site Guideline Advisory Group, the ASCO Health Disparities Committee, the Texas Medical Association, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Society of Hematology.
