An Owatonna native, Dr. Griffin received her Bachelor of Science degree from Wheaton College, Illinois, and her medical degree from Loyola Medical School in Chicago. She completed her residency in dermatology at the same educational venue, after which she and her husband spent 14 years serving in the Navy and Marine Corps. They then returned to Owatonna in 1996 with their 4 children who all graduated from Owatonna High School. Most recently, she spent 3 years working at the Mankato Clinic.
In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology, which is a voluntary, non-profit, private, autonomous organization formed for the primary purpose of protecting the public interest by establishing and maintaining high standards of training, education, and qualifications of physicians rendering care in dermatology.
