Luis E. Cummings Jr. received his Medical Degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in the capital city of San Juan. After graduation, he completed his internship at University Hospital in New Jersey, followed by anesthesia residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital and the University of Miami.
Dr. Cummings Jr. is board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. He maintains professional memberships with the American Medical Association, the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Society Of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the World Institute of Pain. Additionally, he has presented lectures at the Academy of Ponce Anesthesiology and the American Southern Medical Academy and is a Fellow of the Interventional Pain Practice, a licensed Medical Examiner of Puerto Rico, and a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology with the American Board Medical Examiners. Currently, Dr. Cummings Jr. serves as the Director and physician of his own private company called Ponce Interventional Pain Center. Furthermore, he is an Assistant Professor for Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico.
