Bringing wealth of expertise to her practice, Dr. Young is a partner at Associates in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, PC (main office at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Reichert Health Center).

As a board certified physiatrist, she specializes in various areas of medical care, including spine, neck, and back pain, electrodiagnostic evaluation (EMG), therapeutic injections targeting joints, muscles, bursae, tendons, and nerves, as well as Botulinum toxin therapy for chronic migraine. Her practice also encompasses neurological and musculoskeletal rehabilitation, helping patients return to their regular routines and guiding them towards self-empowerment in their journey to better health.

A graduate of Wayne State University School of Medicine, Dr. Young went on to complete her residency at the Rehabilitation Institute of Michigan in Detroit, Michigan.

Subsequent to her training, she attained board certification in physical medicine and rehabilitation through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (ABPMR) The mission of the ABPMR is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.

Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, also known as physiatry and physiatrics, is a branch of medicine that aims to enhance and restore functional ability and quality of life to those with physical impairments or disabilities. Physiatrists treat a wide variety of medical conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, nerves, bones, joints, ligaments, muscles, and tendons. 

In her free time, Dr. Young loves having spontaneous dance parties with her family.
