Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cancer. An oncologist is a doctor who treats cancer and provides medical care for a person diagnosed with cancer. Their responsibilities include: coordinating treatment plans and prescribing various types of treatment, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy, treating patients with radiation therapy, as well as assisting patients with pain management.

Attributing her success to her fear of breast cancer, Dr. Theodoulou decided that she could either tackle it straight on or run away from it. She has a passion for her work and has become recognized internationally for her breast cancer research.

Dr. Theodoulou lives with her husband in the Southern Berkshires and New York City where they enjoy spending time with their daughters, grandchildren, and family and friends. They also love gardening and being with their dog Luigi.
