Maria is a certified family nurse practitioner, who has more than three decades of experience in her field. She is currently serving patients at Marco A. Garcia Medical Center in Elmhurst, New York. Marco A. Garcia Medical Center is a state-of-the-art facility that offers a wide range of healthcare services and provides world-class leadership. It was founded in 2008 by Dr. Marco A. In regards to her education, Maria earned her Associate’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Puerto Rico in 1984. In doing so, she is able to stay up to date in her field.
As for her accomplishments, she won a Scholarship Award from the National Association of Hispanic Nurses, as well as a Scholarship Award from Pace University. Additionally, she was awarded the Ildaura Caudillo Award for Academic Excellence and Leadership.
A family nurse practitioner (FNP) is an advanced practice registered nurse who works autonomously or in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to deliver family-focused care.
