He served a general rotating internship and internal medicine residency at Philadelphia General Hospital with two years of service in the Nacy Medical Corps separating the two medical training periods (7/62-6/67). He was trained in nephrology with a fellowship at the University of New Mexico and the second year at the University of Miami (7/67-6/69). He took an academic position at Hahnemann Medical College prior to entering private practice, during fellowship he co-authored three medical papers on research findings, published in national medical journals.
A Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP), the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
