Born in Russia, Dr. Smith and her family immigrated to the United States in 1992. She attended dental school at New York University, completing her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2011. After that, she did her General Practice Residency at Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center, which is a Level 1 Trauma Center. She then went on to complete her pediatric dental training at St. Barnabas Hospital, which is also a Level 1 Trauma Center. It was there that she had the privilege to treat patients at the Rose F. Kennedy Center for Children and Adults with Special Needs.
Pediatric dentistry is the branch of dentistry dealing with children from birth through adolescence. Pediatric dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood. Happily married, Dr. Smith and her husband, Brad, live in Rockland County with their two boys, Dylan and Jordan. In addition to English, she speaks Spanish and Russian.
