With a broad educational background, Dr. Hanna obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Boston University in May of 1995. He then went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in 2000, where he graduated magna cum laude with honors. During his final year at Tufts Dental, he was able to partake in an exchange program with Bonn University in Germany where his interest for implant dentistry was first sparked.
After graduating dental school, he spent the next decade furthering his knowledge and refining his skills in all aspects of dentistry, including cosmetic dentistry, root canal therapy, comprehensive full mouth rehabilitation, sedation dentistry, and dental implantology. He received his initial training in implant dentistry at the Misch International Implant Institute.
His extensive focus on postdoctoral study of clinical dentistry places him in the top 5% of all dentists for continuing education, enabling him to provide some of the latest advances in dental technology – things like digital x-rays, Hybridge Restorations, and E4D same-day porcelain restorations. Best of all, Dr. Hanna combines this “big city” clinical dentistry with “small town” care that will make patients feel right at home. They won’t get any snooty lectures – just clear, understandable explanations and the latest in advanced dentistry. He has a way with words, helping patients understand exactly what is going on in their mouths and educating them on the possible treatment options.
To advance his professional efforts, Dr. Hanna maintains active memberships with the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the Massachusetts Dental Society, and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. On a more personal note, Dr. Hanna and his wife, Heba, have settled down in Sharon, Massachusetts. They both enjoy working in healthcare and treating patients.
When he is not helping patients, Dr. Hanna enjoys teaching Sunday School and volunteering at church. His other hobbies include boating, fishing, traveling, and reading.
