Dr. Geppert is a board-certified and fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon whose interests include all surgery of the foot and ankle in addition to sports medicine and a broad range of general orthopedic surgery. He is in practice with Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine in Somersworth, New Hampshire. 

Founded in 1972, Seacoast Orthopedics & Sports Medicine is one of the largest providers of orthopedic care, both in the Seacoast region and in the state of New Hampshire. From athletic injuries in the young to degenerative conditions with aging, the goal is to restore and maintain comfort and function for all patients.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the New York University Grossman School of Medicine in 1985. He then went on to complete his internship at New Jersey Medical School in Newark, followed by his residency in orthopedic surgery at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. During his fellowship in foot and ankle surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery, he worked extensively with the New York City Ballet and the Rutgers University athletic teams.

An affiliate Assistant Professor in the Department of Kinesiology, School of Health and Human Services at the University of New Hampshire, Dr. Geppert is on staff at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover and Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester and has privileges at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (Fellow), the American Orthopedic Foot & Ankle Society, the New Hampshire Orthopedic Society, and the New Hampshire Medical Society.

Furthermore, he is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons. 

Among his most notable achievements, Dr. Geppert has published more than a dozen articles in peer-reviewed orthopedic journals and has given presentations at national meetings. He has also co-authored chapters in medical textbooks on surgery of the rheumatoid foot, ankle sprains, and sports-related foot and ankle injuries.

Orthopedic surgery is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. They work in clinical and hospital settings.

In his personal life, Dr. Geppert has five children who play Lacrosse. He is Vice President of the Cocheco Lacrosse Club.
