Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Malz graduated from La Salle University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1974, and attended the Pennsylvania College of Optometry, earning his Master of Science degree in 1976, and his Doctor of Optometry degree in 1978. He received his medical degree from the Jagiellonian University Medical College in Poland in 1984, and completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Mercy Catholic Medical Center in 1989.
Since then, he has been in private practice in Philadelphia and Collingdale, Delaware County, Pennsylvania where he cared for thousands of patients. It has always been his passion to relieve pain and suffering. In 2014, he became a Certified Medical Examiner for the US Department of Transportation, ensuring that commercial drivers are fit to perform their duty. The same year, Castle Connolly listed him among America’s Top Doctors.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
