Mary completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston om 1979. Wanting to continue her education she recently graduated with her Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a certificate in Accounting. She is certified Respiratory Therapist and had practiced with Memorial Hermann in 1998, giving her over two decades of experience though she is recently retired. She holds additional certification in Basic Life Support, Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support. To stay up to date in her field she remains a professional member of the Texas Society for Respiratory Care.

Mary attributes her professional success to the nurses she has worked with. When not working she enjoys sewing and reading, and playing the piano.
