MaryAnn Albaugh is an acute care nurse practitioner with over 30 years of experience in her field. She is currently serving patients’ needs at Lutheran Health Physicians in Fort Wayne, Indiana, which she joined in April 2019 after working as an acute care nurse practitioner for cardiovascular and thoracic surgery in Dallas.

She later went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing, where she was focused on trauma, critical care, and emergency care.

MaryAnn is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses, the American Nurses Association, the Arizona Nurses Association, and the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing. In 2017, she was honored as an inductee into the International Nurses Association.

MaryAnn attributes her success to the willingness of other medical professionals who took the time to teach her throughout her career. In her spare time, MaryAnn enjoys crafting, reading, quilting, and traveling internationally. 

An Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP), like MaryAnn, is a registered nurse who has completed an accredited graduate-level educational program that prepares them as a nurse practitioner. This program includes supervised clinical practice to acquire advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities.
