In practice since 1980, MaryAnn is a leading acute care nurse practitioner & critical care registered nurse whose area of expertise is cardiothoracic surgery. Moreover, she attained induction into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, where she received an award recognizing her achievements and contributions to nursing.
An acute care nurse practitioner is a registered nurse who has completed an accredited graduate-level educational program that prepares them as a nurse practitioner. This program includes supervised clinical practice to acquire advanced knowledge, skills, and abilities.
A critical care registered nurse provides direct care to acutely/critically ill adult patients. They have received specialized training that enables him or her to manage and monitor those patients who are the most seriously ill or injured.
