Get to know Reproductive Endocrinologist and Infertility Specialist Dr. Matan Yemini, who serves patients throughout the States of New Jersey & New York.

For more than 30 years, Dr. Yemini has focused his interest, practice, and research on the spectrum of issues associated with reproductive endocrinology and infertility treatment. He joined the Diamond Institute for Infertility & Menopause in 1989 with the task of further developing its advanced reproductive technology program.

The Diamond Institute for Infertility & Menopause is an independent, private center devoted to the diagnosis and treatment of infertility, with offices in Milburn and Dover, New Jersey & Goshen, New York. Since 1968, the Institute has offered, in one comprehensive setting, sophisticated state-of-the-art laboratories, operating rooms, consultation offices, and all support services. Its comprehensive approach treats every couple as one unit, offering male and female infertility workups.

A 1978 graduate of Jerusalem’s Hadassah Hebrew University School of Medicine, Dr. Yemini completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Kaplan University Hospital in Rehovot, Israel. He trained in reproductive endocrinology at Kaplan Medical Center’s Division of Reproductive Medicine and conducted his basic research at the Weizmann Institute for Science. He then performed an infertility fellowship at Tel Aviv’s Shiba Medical Center and later developed and directed Kaplan University Hospital’s IVF clinical and training program.

Prior to his work at the Diamond Institute, he served as a senior physician in the Division of Reproductive Medicine at Kaplan University Hospital until 1987, when he joined the University of Miami School of Medicine as Director of the IVF laboratory.

Having published extensively, Dr. Yemini has lectured on human reproduction to the medical community and to the public at national and international conferences and workshops. He holds a New Jersey license and memberships in the American Society of Reproductive Medicine, formerly the American Fertility Society; the American Society of Reproductive Immunology; the American Medical Association; the Society for the Study of Reproduction; and the North American Menopause Society.

Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to the reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males outside after the reproductive years.

On a more personal note, Dr. Yemini is fluent in English, Hebrew, and Spanish.
