Recognized as a competent radiation oncologist, Dr. Biagioli is a leader in the application of brachytherapy for the successful treatment of numerous colorectal, gynecologic, and urologic cancers. He is the Medical Director of AdventHealth Cancer Institute in Orlando, Florida.

In regards to the doctor’s educational background, he earned his Master of Science (MS) degree and his medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. He then went on to complete his internship in internal medicine at the same educational venue, followed by his residency in radiation oncology at the University of Miami. Finally, he completed his fellowship in brachytherapy at Beth Israel Medical Center in Boston. 

With years of experience in his field, Dr. Biagioli’s award-winning research has resulted in several patents for innovative approaches in the area of brachytherapy. He is board-certified in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology, which is a not for profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.  

Radiation oncology is a medical specialty that involves the controlled use of radiation to treat cancer. It is one of the three primary specialties, the other two being surgical and medical oncology, involved in the treatment of cancer. A radiation oncologist is a specialist physician who uses ionizing radiation in the treatment of cancer.
