Matthew Roberson, MD, a Family Physician with Paloma Health

Get to know Family Physician Dr. Matthew Roberson, who serves patients throughout the State of Texas.

Dr. Roberson is a board-certified family physician with over two decades of experience caring for thyroid patients using a whole-body approach. He has a passion for finding the right treatment plan for each patient.

While he has been a practicing physician since 2003, he made the change to telemedicine full-time in 2020 and believes that this is the future of patient care.

Dr. Roberson has a particular interest in treating hormonal imbalances and treating people with thyroid issues like hypothyroidism (underactive thyroid) and Hashimoto’s disease (autoimmune disorder). After many experiences with thyroid patients who did not receive quality medical care due to single lab numbers, he attended a conference in 2012 that changed the way he practices medicine.

His practice is holistic and personalized, focused on total well-being, rather than numbers on thyroid blood tests alone. He looks at the whole patient by assessing symptoms and lifestyle in addition to reviewing labs to offer the best treatment plan and care for each person. He knows that improving thyroid health can make a noticeable and positive change in a patient’s quality of life.

Having held numerous roles in clinics and hospitals, Dr. Roberson joined Spring Mountain Medical as the Chief Medical Officer in May 2019 where he oversees all medical services.

He also serves as the Medical Director of Integrative Medical of DFW in Coppell, Texas. The practice offers a variety of treatment options, including conventional medical care, complementary and alternative medicine, chiropractic care, and physical rehabilitation to provide patients with an integrated approach to health.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Roberson graduated with his medical degree from the Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine in 2000. He then went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center.

Licensed to practice medicine in a number of states, the doctor is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Named D Magazine’s Best Doctors in Dallas in 2014 & 2015, Dr. Roberson has also been the recipient of the MVP Physician Award (2008) and the Physician Satisfaction Survey Award (2008).

Having been married for over two decades, Dr. Roberson has 3 children. He enjoys sailing, watching horse racing, and the Dallas Cowboys.
