Lindsay graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont. Wanting to further her education she then graduated with her Master of Science in Nursing from her Walden University where she became certified as an Adult Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She attended Wicks Educational Institute for Graduate Level Training where she received specialty training as a Wound Care Specialist and Wound Ostomy Continence nurse. During her training she completed her practicum with Georgetown University Hospital.
To stay up to date in her field she remains a professional member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and is a Diplomate of the American Professional Wound Care Association. She has also been a recipient of the national Dorland Award for skin and wound care. Lindsay currently owns her own consulting practice for wound and ostomy care as well as is a published content expert. She also practices as a Medical Director and Nurse Practitioner with Pellé Medical where she focuses on cosmetic dermatology and aesthetics.
Nurse Practitioners are registered nurses with specialized educational and clinical training. They can diagnose, treat, and write prescriptions. Nurse practitioners have at least a Master’s Degree and in many states, are able to practice independently without physician supervision.
